• Dear Chinook Families,

I am both honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Chinook Elementary for the 2024-25 school year. My name is Trina Lutes-Johnson, and I am thrilled to become a part of this wonderful diverse community.

Education runs deep in my family, and I have always been passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment for students. I come from a family of educators and have had the privilege of teaching various grade levels, including 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades, as well as serving as a Computer Science Specialist. This school year marks my fifth year in administration, and I am eager to continue growing as a leader and supporter of student success.

My family and I are a proud military family, and we have had the incredible opportunity to live in and learn from many different cultures around the world, including Hawaii, New Delhi, India, and Moscow, Russia. These experiences have deeply enriched my perspective and reinforced my belief in the importance of understanding and celebrating the diversity that each person brings to a community.

I believe that relationships precede learning and that every child is capable of achieving great things when given the right support and encouragement. As I step into this role, I am committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and to fostering an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I am truly looking forward to learning from and about the unique and beautiful cultures that create the Chinook family. Together, I believe we can make this school year a remarkable and rewarding experience for all.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Chinook community! I am excited to work alongside you to ensure a successful and enriching year for our students. Please reach out to me with any questions or ways that I can support your family.

    Trina Lutes-Johnson
