Gildo Rey Vision: At Gildo Rey we value the uniqueness of each child.  We work together with the strong belief that “all of our kids are all of our kids”. We hold the expectation that each child can achieve to high levels with appropriate support and instruction.

Gildo Rey Elementary is the most amazing school in the Auburn community with a history of academic achievement and a staff that believes in each student.  Our students are incredible and the support of parents and community partners ensures we can deliver on our school’s mission and vision.  The rich culture of our community makes our jobs as educators rewarding.  When people ask me as the school principal what I am most proud of at Gildo Rey, without hesitation “the students”.  Every one of our students come to school believing they will succeed.  The staff at our school work tirelessly to ensure every student is academically proficient and their social development prepares them for success today and into their future.  We want every student to have a foundation of college readiness with the academic skills from elementary school to lead them forward without limitations.  I believe every child has a gift and deserves every opportunity for their future.   

I encourage families and community partners to celebrate our school at school events throughout the school year.  Gildo Rey is a school to celebrate.  Go Hawks!
