MEETINGS

All girls interested in playing basketball this summer, there will be a very brief informational meeting right afterschool TODAY in Room 241.

There is a Key Club meeting in 312 on Thursday after school. We’ll be talking about our Builder’s Club visit and our last food bank volunteering.

GENERAL

It time for the Horticulture annual plant sale! Come to the greenhouse May 5 and 6th from 3-6PM. Saturday we will be open from 9AM to 6PM. So many beautiful plants and baskets just in time for Mothers day!

The big Student Staff Basketball game supporting the Relay for Life is approaching quickly.  As in the past the game will be held during 6th period on May 13th, the day of the relay.  To attend the basketball game we are asking that all 6th period classes raise $50.  The class who raises the most amount of money will receive VIP seating along with a nice assortment of snacks.  We would love to see your name on the wall of those classes attending the game.  Start asking your students now for their spare change.  You have two weeks to raise the $50.

Attention all Native American and Alaskan Native students there will be a fieldtrip to Emerald Downs for the Muckleshoot Career Day on Thursday, May 5th.  If you didn’t get a fieldtrip form and want to go, stop by room 336 to get one!

You can pick up an application to run for a class officer position now available in the activities office. There are 5 positions for each next year sophomores, juniors and seniors. You will have until May 13th to apply and campaign. Elections will be on Tuesday, May 17th.

Seniors! Prom is coming Saturday, June 11th at the Pacific Science Center. Tickets are now on sale at the business office. $55 for a couple w/ASB and $60 per couple w/o ASB. Tickets will go up at the door so make sure to get yours early. Also, guest passes are in the activities office.

Is your car in need of a bath? Saturday, May 7 the band is running a car wash near the auto shop. It will run from 10AM to 4PM. Come support the BAND!

Attention Work-Based Learning Students!  Your April hours are due tomorrow to Mrs. Keefe.

Continuing our celebration of teacher appreciation week, teachers are invited to the staff lounge to pick up necessary carbohydrates to refuel: great teaching is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
