SPORTS

Girls Summer Basketball practice begins Tuesday May 30 at 3 PM sharp in the gym.  We will practice 3 to 5 every day that week before our tournament the following weekend.

 Reminder that summer practice for boys basketball starts on Tuesday, May 30th at 7:00 PM in the main gym.  If you intend on playing summer basketball you will need to be there. 

Track athletes be sure to turn in your uniform to either Coach Isham in 314 or Coach Burt in the attendance office.

AHS softball girls! All Softball athletes need to meet at the field TODAY after school. Bring your uniform.

 MEETINGS

There will be a mandatory meeting for all varsity cheerleaders Friday, May 26th after school in room 202, Mrs. Bowler’s room.  Meeting starts at 2:45 sharp and will be done by 3:30.

Drama will be holding elections for new officers for the 2017 – 2018 season. Please come to hear what the candidates offer and help decide will lead the club into the New Year.

Attention all AHS volleyball players, or anyone intending to turn out for volleyball next year. There will be an extremely important informational meeting in the Career Center on Thursday, June 1st at 3:00 after school.  We will be discussing our spring workouts and Summer League. It is essential that you attend so that you are informed about our busy Spring & Summer schedules. Look forward to seeing you there!

GENERAL

Each year, in cooperation with the Auburn High School Honor Society, the AHS principal recognizes seniors who are successful in a rigorous academic program during their senior year.  These seniors will receive “Academic Challenge Awards” and will be recognized at the Senior Awards Ceremony. Pick up an application from either the Main office or the Counseling office and return it to Ms. Bolen by Friday, May 26th.

 

Camp Auburn health forms are due this Thursday please turn into health room.

 

The 2017 Invader yearbook, including a special dedication for our departed Athletic Director, Coach, Teacher, and dear friend, Bob Jones, will be distributed during lunches and after school TODAY to all seniors who have pre purchased the book in Room 101 (Mr. Kaup’s room).  A limited number of extra copies will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $75 to seniors TODAY. Friday, May 26, all students can pick up their pre-purchased yearbooks during lunches and after school, and also purchase any remaining copies on a first-come, first served basis for $75.00. Make sure all fines are paid by checking with the Bookkeepers Office.

Senior Prom is June 10 at the Georgetown Ballroom. Tickets are on sale now in the business office. $50 for couples w/ASB and $55 w/o ASB. Make your plans to be at the coolest prom ever held. Don’t miss out!

Seniors, it’s time to put in a request for your final “official” High School Transcript.  Please stop by the registrar’s office today and pick up a request form. Completed forms must be submitted to the registrar by June 16.  Fines and Fees must be cleared prior to receiving your official transcript. Don’t delay, submit it today!
