• Congratulations to Alumni Jacob Engelbert

Western Washington University recently announced its Outstanding Graduates for the 2015-16 year. Jacob Engelbert graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and a minor in Economics and as the Outstanding Graduate in the Finance and Marketing Department. While at Western, Engelbert interned as a financial analyst at evolution Projects, a real estate development firm in Seattle. He also completed qualifying education for a Washington state appraiser trainee license and served as tech officer of the WWU chapter of the Financial Management Association, developing a new website for the club. After graduation, Engelbert will work as a commercial real property appraiser trainee at a commercial investment advisory firm in Bellevue. The son of Ken and Kathleen Engelbert, Jacob Engelbert is a graduate of Auburn Riverside High School.

 

• Congratulations to Alumni Michael Rucker - Cubs Pitcher

Rucker has been one of the best relief pitchers in the Cubs’ system in 2017. His strikeout rates have been amazing at almost 1.5 per inning. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in 2016 in the 11th round out of BYU. This is his first full season as a Cubs prospect. Because of his size, I initially thought he was going to be reliever.
