    AMHS Students Visit Capitol to Share Success in Robotics

    OLYMPIA… Student participants in a statewide robotics program and competition visited Olympia Tuesday, February 3, 2015, to share their work with the Senate Early Learning and K-12 Education Committee.

    Auburn Mountainview High School senior Kyla Klasen and junior Steven Grubb highlighted the importance of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.

    The students are members of Washington FIRST Robotics, which is part of a national organization that emphasizes STEM education and leadership through hands on robotics programs, competitions and scholarships.

    The group was invited to present by Senator Joe Fain of Auburn, who is a member of the education committee and has attended past competitions.
