    Prerequisite: NGS and concurrent enrolment in Alg-Trig. Chemistry 1-2 is not required. Recommendation from NGS teacher is suggested.

    Repeat: This course is not repeatable for additional credit. 

    This course is an introduction to general chemistry with an emphasis on developing problem solving skills. Students will learn basic concepts of chemistry along with the mathematics required for quantitative problem solving. 

    Note: This course is equivalent to the University of Washington Course “Introduction to General Chemistry”, course number CHEM 110. Students can register to earn five (5) college credits through the University of Washington in the High School Program.
