  • Employee Accommodations

An employer must reasonably accommodate a known disability of a qualified candidate or employee as required by chapter 49.60 RCW and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. (WAC 357-26).

    • A person with a disability means any person who has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities.
    • "Major life activities" means functions such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, or working.

If you believe you need an accommodation for your disability, in order for you to perform the essential functions of the job, please complete the Employee Accommodation Plan Form (linked below).
Requests should include a brief description of the accommodation needed and how it related to your medical condition.

To evaluate your accommodation request, the Request for Medical Information form may be required from a heathcare provider.
Approved requests are for the current school year only and must be requested again the next school year, if applicable.
