The Auburn School District board of directors unanimously approved placing a four-year Educational Program and Operations Replacement Levy and a six-year Technology Replacement Levy on the February 11 ballot.

The Auburn School District is now accepting referrals for the 2020-2021 Highly Capable Program, a program that serves exceptionally intelligent, intellectually gifted students whose needs may not be easily met in the general education setting.
The Auburn School District is responsible for appointing pro and con committees to prepare statements in favor of and in opposition to the ballot measures.
Each spring, all Washington public school students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are tested in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math through the Smarter Balanced summative assessment system and grades 5, 8 and 11 are tested in Science through the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS). This testing meets state and federal requirements.
Washington State law (WAC 246-760) requires schools to conduct auditory and visual screenings of children each year. Students in grades K, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 are screened.
