Our principals and assistant principals provide the leadership necessary for successful schools across the district. They work closely with students, staff and families to ensure academic, behavior, social and emotional growth throughout the year.
The administrative team at each school is made up of key administrative staff and varies by level (elementary, middle and high school). All elementary schools' administrative teams are made up of the principal and an assistant principal. Middle schools' administrative team is made up of the principal, two assistant principals and a dean of students. At the high school level, the administrative team is the principal, at least three assistant principals and at least one dean of students.
Administrative interns are aspiring to the principalship and have returned to college to pursue their principal certification through completing a graduate level program while in their current assignment. One of the certification requirements involves completing a year-long internship in the Auburn School District. Administrative interns provide support to the administrative team at the school and participate as part of the larger district administrative teams throughout that internship year. This opportunity provides valuable opportunities for administrative interns as they prepare to be leaders in the future.
The School Programs department provides support, training, information and resources to support each building administrator and their students, families and staff directly and through partnerships with other district level department administrators and support staff.
