Bereavement leave may be granted to employees to attend to the arrangements for and/or attend services of certain individuals. Please check your union agreement for specific information on how many days will be granted based on your relationship to the deceased.
At the discretion of the superintendent, or designee, two (2) additional days of emergency leave may be granted for the purpose of accommodating extended travel. Emergency leave is deducted from your sick leave balance.
